Platelet Rich Plasma Questions

What is Platelet Rich Plasma ?:

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) biostimulation is a procedure that is performed with painless blood drawn from the same patient and promotes cell regeneration.

For whom is Platelet Rich Plasma indicated?

Platelet Rich Plasma or PRP is a treatment that is recommended for both mature and young skin. Its multiple attributes act as regenerators and activators of collagen, luminosity and freshness; while correcting acne-related problems and preventing aging in younger skin.

Platelet Rich Plasma Benefits:

  • After the application, people can immediately resume their professional and social life. No marks or scars are generated, nor should you rest.
  • Biostimulation with platelet-rich plasma makes it possible to delay the aging process of the skin. It activates cell regeneration, which allows to obtain a better quality of skin, more luminous and fresh, with better texture, less flaccidity and fewer wrinkles.
  • Excellent treatment to combat acne lesions and marks.
  • As it is an autologous treatment (blood is obtained from the patient himself), it does not carry risks of allergies or incompatibility reactions, which makes it a safe procedure for the patient.
  • It can be applied as a preventive treatment, in the case of younger skin, or as a restorative, in older skin.

How is the application procedure of Platelet Rich Plasma?

Platelet Rich Plasma is applied to the skin by means of microinjections. This treatment consists of 3 steps:

  1. Blood extraction: The area where the extraction is to be carried out is disinfected. An elastic band is placed and a blood sample is drawn.
  2. Centrifuge: Once the sample is obtained, it is centrifuged at 2800-3100 rpm for 9-10 min. It is carried out by closed procedure, guaranteeing the sterilization of the process at all times.
  3. Application of PRP: PRP can be injected intradermally through microinjections and into the epidermis as nappage.
