Treatment of Dry Eye Syndrome with IPL Device

What is the IPL Device Dry Eye Syndrome Treatment?

IPL devices have been used for many years in dermatology and aesthetics. In patients who received this treatment in the periocular area, it was observed that evaporative dry eye improved. From that moment on, studies were carried out and protocols were established, observing an effectiveness of 80% in previously affected patients. The device generates pulsed polychromatic light with the intensity personalized for each patient according to their skin type, which stimulates the meibomian glands. In response to this stimulus, the glands stimulate, regenerate and increase their secretion. The lipid structure of the tear layer will be restored and the symptoms associated with dry eye syndrome will improve considerably.

This treatment is non-invasive, painless and completely harmless to the eye.
